SHIMLA
Shimla has been hallowed with every intrinsic gifts. Situated on a scenery site this mountainous city Shimla is enclosed by green meadows and snow-covered crests. The stunning cold hills of Shimla escorted by the constructions built in the period of the regal time produces a sensation, which is very special from other hill stations of India.
During the 19th century while the city of Shimla developed, its Mall gradually progressed as the city's market avenue and the center of Shimla’s public life. The market road, is about 5-km in extent which begins in the west at the gates of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (previously it was Viceregal Lodge) and finishes in the east at the 'Small' Shimla (Chhota Shimla).
Shimla has seven hill of Charismas which are as follows : In west Shimla the Summer hill, on which campus of the Himachal Pradesh University is positioned; In west Shimla the Prospect hill , on which Kamna Devi Temple is situated; In west Shimla the Invererarm hill, on whose peak the State Museum situated; In west Shimla the Observatory hill, on which the estate of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study is located; In north-western Shimla the Elysium hill, which grips the Auckland House and Longwood and reaches out to the Bhararispur; In central Shimla the Bantony hill, on which the Grand Hotel is placed; In central Shimla the Jakhoo hill , whose top has the Lord Hanuman Temple.
